Settling In
We are finally able to say that we are completely moved in. Although we only moved two blocks, it was a tough move with two little ones and no movers. Jon did get help from a work friend, and he was able to use a work truck as well. Since our last move happened so quickly (complete with packers, movers, and an 18-wheeler), this moved seemed to go very slowly. We did the major moving over one weekend, but it has been hard putting everything in a place. Our new home is smaller than our old one, but functionally, it works much better. It is a one-story home, so I no longer have to worry about the kids falling on or down the stairs. I also enjoy not having to clean such a large home! We are also one block closer to the park, so we've been spending our evenings playing, walking, and bike-riding. The weather has been beautiful, and we are also taking advantage of all of the festivals in the area. The first few pics of Brighton and Will were taken at a free concert in the park in our neighborhood by the Louisianna Philharmonic Orchestra. The music was beautiful, and it was a great evening to be out. The next pictures of Brighton were taken while Jon was trying to get a new picture to hang in the wall grouping in our family room. We have been teased about the number of pictures of our kids, but Jon loves taking pictures, and I love looking at their faces decorating the walls. The last pictures are from Will's soccer game. So far he's had two games. I took him to his first one (Jon had to work) and Jon took him to his second one (I decided to have a yard sale after moving in...crazy!) He loves soccer, and I think we may have found a sport that keeps his attention. And it only took getting through Tball and Basketball first! Enjoy the pictures :)
