Thanksgiving Week

I am finally getting around to posting our Thanksgiving week photos. Brighton and I were a little under the weather during the holiday, and it took us quite a while to recover. We, like everyone else, have been getting ready for Christmas. At this point, having just shipped the last of the gifts to VA, I feel like Christmas should be over! We won't be having any extended family visiting over Christmas, but we had a great visit with Grandma and Granddad over Thanksgiving. We spent the first day getting ready for the feast. Caren and I spent some quality time in the kitchen while Ed and Jon entertained the kids. We had a wonderful meal, and I am so disappointed that there were no pictures of our beautiful little table. We didn't shop on Black Friday, but we did do a little shopping in downtown Covington on Saturday. We finished the week with a trip to New Orleans to see Celebration in the Oaks at City Park. It was a great end to the visit, and the kids (and the adults) enjoyed the lights and festivities. Grandma and Granddad brought all of their Christmas presents with them this time since they drove. The car was packed! They made it safely back to Williamsburg the Tuesday following Thanksgiving, and we've been preparing for Christmas ever since.
